The fashion weeks - New York, London, Milan and Paris - ended last week. It’s been a month of new looks, updated silhouettes and a celebration of female power. And as the slogan tee says, the future is female.

Of all the fashion weeks, Paris must be the most iconic. Walking the streets filled with the smell of fresh croissants and the most stylish inhabitants, one can’t help but be swept up by the romance and allure of fashion.

With Paris being our favourite, we’ve put together a little collection of the best looks. From pants and suits to bias-cut dresses, there is a distinct femininity and sexiness to Fall Winter 2018. And we love it.

Strong and powerful, but never losing that female edge.

Hollywood’s biggest night, The Academy Awards, isn’t only known for its celebration of the film industry. The fashion is a key drawing card too. Don’t you just love the voyeuristic pleasure you get while watching E! delve into who is wearing what?

Zooming in closer, you’ll see the jewellery forms a big part of the outfit. And, it’s quite spectacular.

Take a closer look at the best jewellery worn on the night.

HON - 5 shoe styles we love.jpg

While recently taking a slow stroll through the shoe floor of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, I wondered how it was possible that these small works of art elicited so much emotion. The fast beating heart, a sublime daze mixed with excitement. Honestly, it’s quite overwhelming. How do I select a favourite when each one is screaming, “pick me, pick me!”

Now, we’ve made it simple for you, by choosing our 5 favourite shoe trends. They're hot, they're now and they'll quickly update any look.

Aquazzura; Jimmy Choo; Tom Ford; Prada

Whether it’s a delicate pink or full-force shocking pink, it’s the hottest colour. Just pick the right shade for your skin tone.

Gucci; Valentino; Saint Laurent; Alaïa

As our winter’s are not that cold anymore, the bootie is the perfect go-between for an African winter.

Givenchy; Burberry; Miu Miu; TODS

Athleisure, as you might have noticed, continues, and so does the sneaker. Who doesn’t love a bit of comfort? You can wear them with dresses or skirts for a relaxed look. This is the one you really should get if you haven’t already.

Saint Laurent; NO 21; Alexandre Birman; Christian Louboutin

Wrap your feet up in leather or fabric. From bows and ruffles, to exaggerated loops and folds. It's just so elegant and sophisticated.

Nicholas Kirkwood; Gucci; Mansur Gavriel; Christian Louboutin

If you wore these in the eighties, you might be delighted to wear them again. Or not. The catch here is to get a simple pair that you can wear with anything. Streamlined, with a small detail, updates this classic.

They’re round, plastic and very small. And, they get me every time. Sequins. I try my best to ignore them, but the allure is too hard to resist. It has almost become a ritual: first the deep sigh and then the touch. Next, I step closer, run my hand over the little sparklers, ruffling them in the opposite direction to the way they naturally lie. I just have to.

My ability to spot a sequin and fall in love with all its glimmering beauty is a weakness I’ve learnt to accept. They’re frowned upon by some and adored by others but at the end of the day the love of all that glitters is a very personal thing.

The fashion world, thankfully, loves a good sequin too, so I’m not alone in this little obsession. Is it really necessary to have skirts, tops, t-shirts, shoes and bags decorated with these tiny circles of joy? Oh yes! And there is no reason to limit sequins exclusively to nights out. Boldly wear them in the day too – on a t-shirt or a pair of shoes?

The new Pre-Fall 2018 collections seem to indicate that the path to sequins is bright and shiny – and wearing them in daylight is perfectly fine. From Gucci to Chanel, with different colours and textures, there is no easier way to shine and feel happy.
